He is a graduate in film studies from Loyola College, Chennai and besides directing, he is also a camera person and editor and has created many projects with dancer and social activist Mallika Sarabhai. The son of award winning film maker T.V.Chandran, Yadavan assisted his father as an associate director in his films Dany (film), Sankaranum Mohananum and Boomi Malayalam.
